EQAO and OSSLT; How WordQ PDF Can Help Level the Playing Field for All Students.
Province-wide standardized testing is a reality in Ontario (and most of Canada, for that matter), and until now there’s only been a handful of assistive technology software options available for students with disabilities to use to take those tests. Teachers know that accessible PDF documents must be prepared differently than standard PDF versions and, when it comes to creating a level playing field for all students, that difference matters. That’s why we’re incredibly excited to let you know that WordQ 5’s WordQ PDF technology can be used with the Assistive Technology PDF versions of the 2019 OSSLT and 2019 EQAO tests. If you haven’t tried WordQ lately, you’re in for a few surprises. WordQ 5 now includes; WordQ, WordQ PDF, ThoughtQ, and more!
WordQ PDF is the newest addition, via an update, to WordQ 5. If you haven’t checked for updates in a while, now’s a good time to do that. It’s quite simple; make sure you’re somewhere with internet access, open WordQ 5, click on the “Options” button, then select “help” from the menu, then choose “check for updates”. From there you’ll be taken to a secure website to run the update.
