Massachusetts provides a solid base for Edtech innovation. Today there are 53 institutions of higher education in the greater Boston area alone and 125 degree granting higher education institutions in the state, in addition to the University of Massachusetts system. Roughly 300 Edtech and learning-oriented start-ups are based in the Boston area alone. Public schools in the state serve as ideal pilot sites due in part to being ranked as one of only 14 states that have extensive and up-to-date state education technology plans.
The 2018 LearnLaunch across Boundaries Conference (February 1st -2nd), which is now in its 6th year, serves as a general mean of unifying the global EdTech community in the Greater Boston area. It will be attended by educators, entrepreneurs, investors, education administrators, education companies, and technology innovators. This is the place where companies are able to showcase their technology and products, as well as use the space to meet with potential customers and/or collaborators.
On the margins of the conference, an intensive program will be organized to immerse Canadian organizations to the US EdTech market with a workshop on go-to-market strategies, EdTech visits in Boston, targeted B2B meetings, and networking opportunities.
