Quillsoft’s strategic partnership with Nisai Group

The partnership between the UK-based Nisai Group and Quillsoft began nearly five years ago, rooted in a shared commitment to enhancing reading and writing skills for individuals who face challenges in literacy. This collaborative relationship was officially formalized in 2022, and since then, both organizations have experienced remarkable growth and success, continually building on their strengths and shared vision.

Nisai Group has been a trailblazer in delivering high-quality online education to both school-aged students and adult learners since its inception in 1996. The organization’s core values align seamlessly with those of Quillsoft, a company that has spent over two decades at the forefront of developing cutting-edge assistive technologies. The union of these two industry leaders has fortified their joint mission to empower learners of all ages to improve their written literacy skills. Their partnership is deeply rooted in mutual values of accessibility, inclusivity, aspiration, and innovation—principles that guide every initiative they undertake.

This collaboration marks a pivotal moment in the strategic direction of both organizations. For Nisai Group, the partnership signifies a major step forward in its global expansion strategy. By integrating Quillsoft’s renowned WordQ software with Nisai’s teacher-led online lessons and Units of Sound program, Nisai is able to offer a more comprehensive suite of educational tools. This integration not only enhances the learning experience but also paves the way for Nisai’s formal entry into the North American market.

For Quillsoft, the alliance provides an invaluable opportunity to broaden its reach, initially targeting regions across Asia, Europe, and North Africa, and eventually aligning with Nisai’s global ambitions. This expansion allows Quillsoft to stay true to its mission of supporting learners with diverse needs while evolving from a specialized edtech provider to a holistic education company.

The urgency to address global literacy challenges has only intensified in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic. By offering an integrated solution—combining Nisai’s teacher-led instruction with Quillsoft’s WordQ and Units of Sound—both organizations are uniquely positioned to support learners of all backgrounds and abilities, extending the impact of education beyond traditional classrooms.

In 2025, this successful partnership was recognized with Global Inclusion Awards, celebrating the significant contributions of both Nisai and Quillsoft in advancing educational inclusion worldwide.

Dhruv Patel, CEO and Founder of Nisai Group commented, “Up to now the expansion of Nisai globally has been through organic growth. A change in direction in this growth strategy was always only going to happen if something impactful, accessible, and reliable came to our attention and Quillsoft is exactly that. With a talented team behind it and products that make a significant difference, Quillsoft is a welcome addition to the Nisai Group, and I look forward to seeing significant expansion over the coming years.”

Fraser Shein, CEO and Founder of Quillsoft stated, “This is an exciting opportunity for Quillsoft to extend the reach of WordQ through the resources available from Nisai. The shared values of both organisations to support learners of all ages with improving literacy is key to addressing the global issue of low levels of literacy and English.”
